Wanda “Peggy” Williams, 104 of Tucson Arizona passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025. She was born on April 15, 1921 in Ladysmith Wisconsin to parents Margaret & John Hughes.

She married Freman C. Williams on June 25, 1937 and raised her family in South Dakota. In 1956 they moved to San Manuel Arizona where her husband went to work at Magma Copper Mine. Her husband passed away in 1973. She had never held a job before. So she had to learn to drive, get a job and support herself for the first time at the age of 52. She went to work for the San Manuel School District as a custodian.

She loved sports and would watch her grandchildren, greats and great-greats play. Her hobbies included sewing, baking and hiking.

She traveled all over the United States with family and friends. She volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul’s food bank and would often bring her grandchildren with her to help.

She is proceeded in death by her husband Freman Williams, 2 brothers Paul & Pete Hughes, 2 daughters and son in laws Elsie & Jim Hoyack, Mabel & Johnnie Seballos. Daughter in law Marilyn Williams. Grandchildren Chuck Hoyack, Annette Seballos, Kristen Adams and great grandson Quintin Barreto. She is survived by her 2 sons James (Loretta) Williams and John Williams. 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held January 24, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 601 East Fort Lowell Road. Rosary at 12 noon, Mass at 12:30 followed by interment at Evergreen Mortuary. Reception following at Sacred Heart.
