Vincent Richard Facchini was born on April 7, 1941, to his parents Peter and Angelina Facchini in Hoboken, New Jersey. He passed away peacefully at his home in Tucson, Arizona on February 17, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Angelina Facchini, daughter Joylyn Spinelli, and son Peter Facchini. Vince is also joined in his passing by his sister Joan Hernandez and her husband Danny Hernandez. Vince is survived by three children; Theron Vincent Facchini, Brandon Facchini and his Fiancé Marissa, and daughter Melette Archuleta and her husband Eddie. Vince also leaves behind nieces and nephews Danielle Masciel and Reuben Hernandez, grandchildren Alfred, Amanda, Tina, and Angelina, and his great grandchildren.
Vincent had an affinity for animals from a young age and in his 20’s became a rodeo cowboy who competed professionally as both a bareback bronco and bull rider. Vince travelled the United States competing in various rodeos and was able to earn himself a championship bull riding belt buckle at the Cowtown, New Jersey Rodeo in 1968. This competition buckle was very important to Vince and he would very rarely if ever be seen without wearing this buckle and his signature cowboy hat. Vince’s love for animals included breeding Australian Sheppard dogs, and collecting various reptiles including an 18’ Anaconda, 16’ Boa Constrictor, King, Gopher, and Rattle snakes. He also raised other animals as pets which included horses, goats, ducks, chickens, raccoons, ferrets, skunks, and chinchillas. Vince also loved camping and fishing in the White Mountains, Mount Lemon, and at Patagonia Lake.
Vince was a craftsman who was very skilled at leather work, carpentry, and especially welding. For many years Vince was the owner of a successful welding business designing and producing custom decorative wrought iron work and other welding projects. After Vince’s retirement and due to his love of horses, he began an equestrian transport business with road trips throughout the country and he enjoyed being on the road and taking care of his client’s horses during these journeys. During these trips he always also had his trusted canine companions with him including Axel and Penelope.
Vince, our Dad, will be missed by us all and his memory will continue to live on through us, as his children. We will continue to carry his strength and talk about him and the memories he made throughout his life. We would like you to share your memories of Vince with us at his Celebration of Life, which is being planned for May 23, 2026 in Tucson, Arizona. If you would like to attend, please contact Melette Archuleta via email at facchinimelette@gmail.com for further details.
