Ruth Elizabeth Kelly

Ruth Elizabeth McBride Kelly was born in Eureka, CA December 1, 1943. She graduated from Arlington High School, class of 1962. She was a part of the pilot program for Registered Nurses at Brazosport College and graduated Phi Theta Kappa in 1974. She has lived overseas in Madagascar, in Kansas City,MO and settled in Tucson, Arizona for the last 8 years of her life. She is survived by her children Bob Rice, Gerri Mills, Jennie Alexander, Sean Kelly, Liz Whitaker,Casey Kelly, Kevin Kelly and Kerry Kelly. She leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly.

Ruth worked as a registered nurse for 40 years, most of her career specializing in geriatric care, taking care of those vulnerable patients who needed it most. Service to others was her superpower. At home she loved to play Canasta and Scrabble with her family. She was always a rock for her children in times of need. Her outgoing and friendly nature garnered her life long friends, and her humorous side made it possible to find a way to laugh, even through difficult times.
