In Loving Memory of Roy Laurence Combs

Roy Laurence Combs, age 62, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, after a courageous battle with lung cancer

Roy was born on March 19, 1964, in Montana. He lived life on his own terms, with a big heart, a strong spirit, and a deep love for his family and friends. He was the kind of man who could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them feeling like an old friend. His laughter, stories, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him

Roy proudly served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of E-5. His service reflected the dedication, strength, and determination that he carried throughout his life.

Roy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, watching UFC fights, enjoying a cold beer, eating a good steak, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors. He treasured every opportunity he had to talk with his daughter, Cierra. More than anything, Roy valued the people in his life and cherished the many friendships he built over the years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cameo Monique Williford Combs; his children, Cierra Combs, Dakota Combs, Marshall Combs, and Levi Combs; his grandson, Caleb Combs-Braaten; his stepchildren, Bryanna Bessey, Ashlynn Bessey, and Andrew Bessey; his brother, Roger; his three sisters; his nieces, Kymber, Kristin, Sydney, and Kenzie; and his nephews, Tanner, Dallas, and Kole

Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Annette Jantzen, and his father, Roy Combs Sr.

In true Roy fashion, he requested that there be no formal funeral service. Instead, he asked that those who loved him celebrate his life wherever they may be—whether in Arizona or any other state. Gather with the people you love, share stories, raise a glass, enjoy some laughter, and make memories. After all, that’s what Roy was all about

A Celebration of Life gathering is currently being planned in Arizona by his wife, Cameo. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been finalized.

Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the stories we tell, the memories we share, and the love he leaves behind.

Forever loved. Forever missed.
