In Loving Memory of

Rosa Armida Carbajal

November 10, 1947 – October 25, 2026

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Rosa Carbajal, who was born on November 10, 1947, in Bisbee, Arizona, and spent her life making memories and building lasting connections in Douglas, Arizona.

Rosa was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She dedicated many years of service to the City of Douglas and proudly retired from the Douglas Fire Department. Her years of hard work and commitment reflected her dedication to the community she called home.

Rosa leaves behind her loving children: Adair (Jeanna) Carbajal, Enid Ericka Carbajal, Ian Abraham Carbajal, David Sinuhe Carbajal, and Juan Carlos Carbajal. She is also survived by her beloved siblings, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were an important part of her life and legacy.

Rosa was loved and respected by many. She had her own special way of leaving an impression on those around her, and those who knew her will surely remember her familiar words, “Pobre de ti.” A saying that will forever bring smiles and memories of her unique personality. And if you happen to see a butterfly fluttering around you, perhaps it's Rosa stopping by to say hello.

Take a moment to smile, look up, and say, “Hello, Rosa. Thank you for visiting me.” May every butterfly remind us that love never leaves us; it simply finds a different way to stay close. Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we are grateful for the years we shared with her, the love she gave, and the memories that will live on through generations.

She was loved, she was cherished, and she will never be forgotten. Rest peacefully, Rosa. Until we meet again, we'll be watching for your butterflies.
