Roger Lau Sr
December 8th 1935 - July 18th 2026
Roger was born in Managua , Nicaragua. He migrated to San Francisco with his family at the age of 8 years old. He worked at the giants stadium selling newspapers as a paper boy . He enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and served 25 years . When he was stationed in Tucson az he met the love of his life Maria and went to be married 5 days later . They had 3 children and raised 3 more . Roger worked at the Rillito horse track and the grey hound dog track , were he managed the money room . He dedicated 40 plus years to training the youth in boxing in the community. He was a great husband , father , brother , grandfather , great grandfather , son and friend to many . He is proceeded by his wife Maria , his parents Isabel and Agusto , brothers Roberto and Julio , and a son Eric. He is survived by his sisters Vilma and Socorro , Daughters Veronica Contreras (Ruben) , Tina Lau , Lupe Lau ( Albert Jr.) , Jackie Saxton , Sons , Roger Lau Jr and Aaron Saxton . Grandchildren , Ruben Anthony , Marisela , Roger Anthony Jr , Doeminique , Michael (boo-boo) jr , Miguel , Carlos , Araseli , Jazmyne , Meachah , Julio , Bella and Alexis. Great grandchildren which equals 13. You will be missed dearly by all and we love you always my dearest Father and Grandpa . A special thanks to my sister in law Tina Lau for caring for him until the end .
