Richard Taft Jacob was born on November 7, 1938 to Taft and Mary Jacob. He was the youngest of his seven siblings. He had five brothers, Abe, Mike, John, Jim and George and one sister Rose Marie. He joined the Navy in 1956 when he was eighteen years old and served our great country for three years.
Once he returned home, he worked at the family restaurant Club 21 where he met the love of his life Barbara Jocielle. They married on September 30th,1968 and welcomed their first daughter Monica Denise on July 22, 1969. On October 11th, 1972 they welcomed their second daughter Lisa Rene. Barbara had two daughters Patty and Lori when she met him, and he loved them as his own.
Once he left Club 21, Richard became a General Merchandise Manager at Lucky's Supermarket until he retired. Richards happiest times were spent hunting with his brothers and nephews, traveling with the love of his life to places like Washington, Oregon, Montana, Canada and Rocky Point, Mexico visiting family and exploring the country. Once he retired, cheering on his great grandson Cooper at his Basketball and Football games became a favorite ritual.
He passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2026 with Monica and Lisa by his side, to live with our Heaven Father for eternity. He left this temporary world at 11:58pm, the exact same time he entered it, 87 years ago.
He is survived by daughters Monica (Gary) Wright, Lisa Jacob, Grandson Victor, Granddaughters, Ryann, Courtney, Brooke, Katy and Nikky. Great Grandchildren Cooper, Nevaeh, Lincoln, Holly, Hayden, Haley and Jasmyne. God children Tina Valacich and Tom Jacob, ss well as many nieces and nephews.
