Ramona Leon Estrada

Ramona Leona Estrada, lovingly known as Mona. Her sunrise was January 4 1972 and her sunset was December 29, 2025, at the age of 53, in her mother’s home. Born in Tulare, California, Mona spent most of her life in California before moving to Arizona in her final years, where she will be received in Jesus' arms. Mona was the eldest of her siblings and carried that role with strength, resilience, and deep love. Growing up, she was a fighter—tough when she needed to be—but beneath that strength was a heart of pure gold. She was kind, giving, and always willing to help those she loved. She is preceded in death by her husband, Erasmo Herrera Jr.; daughter Monica Herrera, brother Joseph Leona Estrada and grandparents Francisco & Soledad Estrada. She is survived by her children Stephanie Gonzales, Enrique Martinez, Francisco Martinez, Ruben Duran and her youngest Michael Sprenger. Including her siblings Raymond Gonzalez, Rene Estrada, Erika Garcia and Reynaldo Carreras and mother Josephine Estrada. She also leaves behind her close friends and extended family, and her eight beautiful grandchildren who were the center of her world. Mona was very blessed and a loving grandmother who poured her heart into caring for her grandchildren—feeding them, helping them, and surrounding them with love. They were her joy and her purpose.A woman of faith, Mona spoke often of the Lord’s word and was deeply curious and devoted to learning more about Him. She believed in salvation and worked to instill her faith in her grandchildren. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and with the Lord.

Mona will be remembered for her strength, her compassion, her unwavering love for her family, and the legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of all who knew her. She will greatly and forever missed. "La Mona Y Que.!"
