Philip John Koltunovich November 11, 1947 – February 9, 2026

Philip John Koltunovich, 78, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Phil was born in New York City, the younger son of John and Dora Koltunovich. He grew up in Copiague, NY where he enjoyed spending time with his cousins and friends, visiting the beach, and travelling to the city for concerts. Phil had an adventurous spirit and travelled the country by motorcycle before eventually settling in Tucson, where he met and married the love of his life, Linda Waterbury.

Phil worked most of his life in construction to support his family and provide opportunities for his children. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and truly believed that any problem could be fixed if you set your mind to it. He continued to work as a handyman and provide help to his friends and family well after his retirement.

Phil was a proud father and grandfather. He never missed an important event, big or small, for his children and grandchildren. He made sure his children had everything they needed and pushed them to achieve their dreams and goals. He spent time babysitting and caring for his grandchildren, often playing with them, taking them out for treats, and showering them with gifts. His generosity, of time, money, and expertise, knew no bounds.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda and brother, Norman Koltunovich. He is survived by his children, Kelle Hyland and her spouse Ed Hyland, and Derek Koltunovich and his spouse Kindall Gray; his grandchildren, Briana Hyland, Edward Hyland, and Josephine Koltunovich-Gray; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Phil will be remembered for his resilience, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family.
