Oscar Leo Larochelle

Oscar Leo Larochelle was born March 6, 1932 in Biddeford, Maine. He joined the Army and fought in the Korean War in the Artillery Unit. He moved to Connecticut and happily worked for 32 years at Wallingford Steel, allowing his family to enjoy life in a small idyllic town. He donated blood regularly and taught his children to be kind and have a caring heart by being an example. Oscar loved bowling and was Captain of his bowling teams over the years. He would frequently have Michael by his side to enjoy spending time at the bowling alley with many coworkers from the steel mill.

After Oscar retired from Wallingford Steel, he moved to Florida and worked at Publix for 25 years. He enjoyed visiting with his sister Jeannette, her daughter Doris and Doris’ husband Al, and their family.

Oscar always had a smile on his face and was such a kind, caring and thoughtful man. He was an amazing Dad. He was an alter boy as a child and enjoyed going to Catholic Church his entire life. His friends and family are so lucky to have loved and known Oscar. Many tears will be shed missing him, but also funny stories will be shared to honor him. We know that he is in a better place, and that we will see him again.

Oscar is survived by two children, Debra Larochelle and Michael Larochelle. He also has two grandsons, Joseph Salvador and Eric Salvador, and three great grandchildren, Tyler Salvador, Zoey Salvador and Nicholas Salvador. He also has a brother Maurice Larochelle in Connecticut.

He was predeceased by his sisters Jeanette Simoneau, June Larochelle and brother Wilford Larochelle. Also his parents Doris Larochelle and Henry Larochelle.
