Martha Martinez Demery

Martha Martinez (Demery), 71, of Marana, Arizona passed away on June 16th, 2026, mid- morning. She was born in Guaynabo, Cuba to Jose Pinilla Martinez and Nelsa de la Caridad Iglesias on November 6th 1954.

She had many sisters and a brother. She moved from Miami to Tucson, Arizona .and eventually ended up in Marana Arizona. She just loved children and all her nieces and nephews. When she saw a baby in the store, she couldn’t resist going up and talking cute baby talk and cuddling with the baby. She was a fantastic homemaker and gourmet cook she also made great tamales which she sometimes sold at the stores and in parking lots with her father and husband Tim.

She had a beautiful garden full of flowers and fruits which she enjoyed watering and working in every day. Martha was very charismatic and knew how to treat brand new people like lifelong friends. She was a loyal daughter a compassionate sister and aunt she just loved her whole family and was always sending them money and beautiful clothes and special foods that her Cuban family loved. Martha especially loved her elderly mother and always called her every day just to tell her she loved her so much. When her father died, she just cried for days.

She is survived by her husband Tim who she affectionately calls CHAN and her daughter Maribel and granddaughter Claudia and grandson Cristian all whom she loved so much. In lieu of a funeral or wake her remaining family asks that you take a moment today to reach out to those you love and tell them that you love them. Our hearts will always be missing what could've been, and the time we could've spent together.
