Louise Marie Houston

Louise was born on January 5, 1954 in Tucson, Arizona to Duane and Charlotte Jackson. She passed away on April 9, 2026 at the age of 72. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Houston, her identical twin sister Linda Mader and brother-in-law Joseph Mader, her parents Duane and Charlotte Jackson. She is survived by her sister Penny Starkey (Curt), nephews Jason Mader and Byron Starkey. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Louise attended schools in Tucson and graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1972. She was a Candy Striper in High School. She attended college al Northern Arizona University. She especially enjoyed her time at NAU.

Louise started working for the Valley National Bank in 1977. At her death she was working for Chase Bank and was in the banking industry for 49 years.

Louise married Michael Houston on November 8, 1980 at the world-famous Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married for 31 wonderful years until Mike died in 2011.

Some of Louise's favorite things were: Breakfast, sewing (she made clothes for others, made her oldest sister's wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses, aprons, etc.), loved murder mysteries, dogs, enjoyed reading Debbie Macomber books and the Will Trent series, and loved to listen to James Taylor. She thoroughly enjoyed making gift bags for her coworkers for each holiday.

Louise was a truly kind and caring person. She was completely selfless, whose goal in life was to make people smile. She also had a deep sense of humor. She enjoyed visiting her family in Washington during the summer.
