Kimberly was a fun-loving woman whose smile could light up any room. Known for her kind heart and caring nature—sometimes almost too caring—she was deeply loved by her family and many friends. She had a passion for polar bears, camping, fishing, and enjoyed trips to the casino.

She is survived by her father, Dennis Matney; stepmother, Thalia Matney; sisters Kelly Marie Thames (husband, Glenn), Tricia Cox (husband, Albert), Tammy Manes (widow), Robin Holland (widow); and brother Steven Gumfory; goddaughter Madison Almada; nieces Charleen, Evaney, Samantha, and Madison; nephews Daniel, Tayven, Nicholas, Kyle, Cameron & TJ; aunts Linda Cook and Marsha Matney; uncles Jerry (aunt, Priscilla) and Terry Padalino (aunt, Janet); and many cousins.

Those who have also passed who have met her at her passing: Laura (Padalino) Hirt; Mother, Larry Matney; Uncle, Randy Matney; Brother, Grandparents: Laura & Guiseppe (Joseph) Padalino, Grandma Peggy, Grandma Betty & Grandpa Butch, Pola; her beloved dog and of course the love of her life, Heather.

Kimberly’s family will honor her memory with a balloon release using biodegradable balloons, and guests will be invited to take home propagated plants from one of her plants as a living memory of Kim. A special video tribute will be shared, along with a live musical performance by her sister Kelly and brother-in-law Glenn, performing two original songs inspired by Kim (Until We Meet Again & Echoes of a Broken Heart).

Her warmth, joy, and love will be forever remembered by all who knew her.
