With profound sorrow and sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved father, José Nuñez, who was called to God's side on February 26, 2026, and has gone to join his beloved wife (our mother), Lydia Nunez, and his children who preceded him: Juan Nunez, Rosenda Nunez, and Jaime Nunez; his grandson, Gabriel Benitez; and his great-grandson, Andrew Alston. He is survived by his children, Alicia Castrellon, Graciela Nunez, Rito Nunez, Ana Nunez, Angelica Ramirez, and Teresa Nunez; his daughter-in-law, Matilde Nunez; and his son-in-law, Luis Castrellon.
He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Nieces and nephews reside in Mexico. We will always remember him with much love, affection, and respect for all the advice and teachings he shared with us. Everyone who knew him was aware of his kindness and deep spiritual faith, which he always shared. He will always be missed, but we know he is in a better place and in good company. May Almighty God cover him with His holy mantle and grant him eternal life in paradise.
Rest in peace, our dear father.
José Nuñez (May 18, 1925-February 26, 2026)
