James “Jim” Farrell, age 65, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, following a hemorrhagic stroke. He was born on March 19, 1961.
Jim married the love of his life, Renee Marx, in October 1987, and together they shared 38 years of marriage filled with hard work, travel, and devotion to one another.
Jim was a devoted husband, businessman, and friend whose kindness and hardworking spirit touched many throughout his life. Before moving to Arizona, Jim worked for seven years at Fenestra Door Company and for 13 years at Corrim Door Company, both in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In March 2007, Jim and his wife, Renee, moved from Oshkosh to Show Low, Arizona, where they purchased and proudly operated Octopus Car Wash. Together, they built not only a successful business, but also lasting relationships within the community. They owned and operated the car wash until June 2022, when they retired and moved to Tucson, Arizona, to be closer to Renee’s family and enjoy life at a slower pace.
Throughout the years, Jim and Renee shared a love of travel and enjoyed many happy adventures in their motorhome. They especially cherished their trips back to Oshkosh to spend time with family and lifelong friends, creating memories that will be treasured by all who knew them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Nina Jean Farrell. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Renee; his sisters, Pam Farrell and Kathy Oakson (Paul); his brothers, Bill Farrell and Chris Farrell (Carin); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Jim will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, the life he built with Renee, and the warmth he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
