Loving Memory of Gustavo Castro Sr.

Gustavo Castro Sr., 58, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away on June 6, 2026.

Born in Magdalena, Sonora, Mexico, Gustavo lived a life filled with laughter, love, and devotion to his family. He was known as the funniest person in the family, always able to make those around him smile no matter the situation. His sense of humor, kind heart, and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Gustavo loved spending time outdoors and enjoyed some of his favorite pastimes, including watching football, especially cheering on the New England Patriots, as well as watching Vikings and ghost shows. Whether he was sharing a joke, telling stories, or enjoying time with family, he made every moment memorable.

Above all else, Gustavo was a devoted father, a loving grandfather, and a proud Tata. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with them. He treasured every laugh, hug, and memory they shared, and he took great pride in watching them grow. The love he had for his grandchildren was unconditional, and they will forever carry his love and lessons in their hearts.

He is survived by his children, Gustavo Castro Jr., Anthony Pike, and Santos Castro; his brothers, Jesus Castro, Mario Castro, and Michael Raynosa; along with many grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.

Gustavo's legacy of love, laughter, strength, and devotion to family will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Those we love don’t go away,

they walk beside us every day.

Unseen, unheard but always near,

still loved, still missed

and held so dear.
