Gail Anderson Hozjan

Gail (McClellan) Anderson Hozjan, 43, of Tucson, Arizona passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2026.

Born in Tucson to Dean and Beth (Gareis) McClellan, she was a 2001 graduate of Sabino High School.

While raising a family, Gail attended and graduated from Pima Medical Institute with a degree in Nursing. After working as an RN, Gail changed careers, finding greater happiness in retail, and was quickly promoted as a manager with Target, Inc. where she took pride in designing and setting up displays.

She was very athletic, playing softball and soccer throughout school, and she enjoyed the outdoors and traveling. A perfect morning for Gail included a long run while listening to her favorite music, and a perfect evening was spent reading and snacking on peanut M&Ms. Most of all, she loved her children—they were never far from her, always in her heart.

Gail is survived by her parents; brother, Paul (Sherri) McClellan of Tucson; children, Owen and Abbie Anderson of Queen Creek; niece, Claire McClellan of Tucson; an uncle, aunts, and cousins in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Tennessee; and many great friends.

She will be missed and remembered for her kindness and bright smile. A memorial service will be held at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Road, Tucson, AZ 85749 on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 1:00 pm. The service will be livestreamed at tvlc.org.
