Fresia Amado "Fritzy" Razo, a cherished matriarch and spirited soul, departed this world on December 30, 2025, in her beloved Tucson, Arizona, where she was born on March 11, 1933. Fritzy, the eldest of twelve siblings, grew up in a vibrant household filled with love and laughter, shaped by her devoted parents, Hector C. Amado and Frances G. Amado, who both precede her in death.
Throughout her life, Fritzy embodied a remarkable blend of humor, intelligence, elegance, generosity, and spirit. She touched the hearts of many, becoming a treasured figure not just to her immediate family but also to countless nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who looked up to her with admiration and affection. Her legacy of warmth and kindness will undoubtedly continue to live on through the memories of those she cherished.
Fritzy is survived by her siblings, each carrying their own unique fragment of her light, including Esperanza ‘Hope' A. Ratigan (Tom, deceased), Clemencia ‘Tiny' A. O’Conner (Phillip, deceased), Oscar Frank Amado (Myra), Rebecca A. Wechselberger, Margaret ‘Margie' A. McFadgen (Craig), George J. Amado (Nancy), and Yolanda A. Zaragoza (Cosme). Each of them will forever hold dear the joyful moments they shared with their sister.
She is predeceased by her husband, Jose Jesus Razo Zaragoza, as well as by her siblings Anna Lydia A. La Blue (Ron), Hector G. Amado Jr. (Betty), Ruben G. Amado (Barbara), and Yvonne A. Spence (Howard, deceased), all of whom were integral to her life’s journey. The bonds of family run deep within the Amado lineage, and Fritzy’s passing leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of her family members.
A memorial service to honor Fritzy's beautiful life will be held on January 24, 2026, at Avenidas Cremation & Burial in Tucson, Arizona, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Fresia Amado "Fritzy" Razo will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Her presence was a gift to everyone fortunate enough to know her, and she will remain in our hearts for all time.
