In Loving Memory of Edmond “Eddie” Sebra

January 30, 1975 – August 31, 2026

Edmond Ernie Paul Sebra was born on January 30, 1975, in Exeter, California, to Barbara Jean Sebra and Daniel Danny Franco.

Eddie was raised in Farmersville, California, where his childhood was filled with memories of growing up in Tulare County. Those early years and the people who shared them with him remained a meaningful part of his life. His family story was unique, and while his biological father was not a constant presence during his childhood, Eddie developed a deep and loving bond with his stepfather Benjamin Moreno who helped raise him. That relationship became an important part of the man Eddie grew to be.

Eddie passed away on August 31, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, surrounded by the love of his family.

Eddie graduated from Exeter High School and later attended College of the Sequoias. He became a proud Union journeyman carpenter earning the Golden Hammer award for “Outstanding Apprentice 2012”. Most recently he worked under the Carpenter’s Union

Local 1912. His career took him throughout California, Texas, and Southern Arizona, where he worked on projects that became part of the communities around him.

Eddie was incredibly proud of his work. He loved pointing out the many things he had helped build, and with his unmistakable humor, he would say:

“Because of me, you have houses to live in, stores to shop in, bridges to cross, highways to drive on, casinos to go spend your money in, hospitals to go to, and colleges to send your kids”

That statement captured something very true about Eddie. He took pride in knowing that his hands and his hard work contributed to something that would remain long after he was finished.

But Eddie’s desire to help others wasn’t limited to his profession. He volunteered his time helping friends with their home projects and gave his time to Habitat for Humanity, helping families build their first homes. He was generous with his knowledge, his skills, and his time, often helping others simply because he could.

Eddie was a father who loved his kids deeply, and family was always at the heart of who he was

He shared his life with his beloved life partner, whom he considered his wife. With her, Eddie found a home where he felt safe, loved, and had the life and companionship he wanted. Together they shared laughter, memories, challenges, and a love that will always remain a part of their story.

Eddie had an uplifting and contagious laugh, an amazing personality, and a selfless heart. He could make people laugh with his stories, his expressions, and his unique way of looking at life. Those who knew him well knew there was always a story to tell, a memory to share, or something Eddie had an opinion about.

His heart, however, always carried a special place for home.

Although Eddie came to love Arizona—the sunsets, the monsoons, the landscapes, and the incredible night skies—part of his heart was always longing to be back home in Tulare County, where he felt safe and where so many of the people he loved and cherished had remained a part of his life.

He had endless stories about growing up in “Farmas”. The good stories, the bad stories, the funny ones. He carried those memories with him and loved telling the stories of growing up in a small town and the experiences that shaped him.

Family meant so much to Eddie. He cherished his mother, his stepfather, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and the many friends who became family along the way. Some friendships lasted for decades, and Eddie never forgot the people who had been part of his life. But his world was his wife, his son Jayden and his daughter Addie.

Eddie was saddened by the recent loss of so many people he loved. Their passing reminded him of just how much those relationships meant to him and how deeply he valued the people who had shared his journey.

Eddie’s life was not always perfect, and neither was he. He had his struggles, his stubborn moments, his opinions, and his own way of doing things. But beneath all of that was a man with a tremendous heart who loved his family and friends deeply.

He leaves behind more than the things he built with his hands. He leaves behind stories that will continue to be told, laughter that will never be forgotten, memories that will bring both smiles and tears, and pieces of himself in the homes, buildings, roads, bridges, and countless lives he touched.

He was a son, a father, a partner, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, and a friend. To many, he was family even when there was no blood relation.

Edmond, Eddie to most, and Casper to some. Whatever name you called him, he was someone whose personality and presence were hard to forget and was one of a kind.

He will be deeply missed by those who loved him, forever remembered by those whose lives he touched, and carried in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to call him family.

Rest peacefully, Eddie. You made your mark on this world, and you will never be forgotten.
