Drina D Ramirez

On December 13, 2025 Drina D. Ramirez left this world to be reunited with her beloved husband, Joseph F. Ramirez Jr. (Joey). A devoted wife, Drina shared a love with Joey that reached almost 50 years, although he passed four years before her, their bond never faded.

She worked at Pima College Police Department and Bookstore for many years, but her greatest and proudest role was being a devoted wife and mother. Our home was always filled with love, laughter, and a hot meal waiting at the dinner table. The nightly gatherings around the small breakfast nook table was a family tradition and those memories will be cherished forever.

Affectionately known as Aunt DeeDee to her nieces and nephews, Drina welcomed everyone with open arms. Friends were always accepted, cared for, and given a soft place to rest. She had a deep love for her dogs, Dinkey, Montey, and her beloved elderly Chihuahua, Skeeter, whom she lovingly cared for.

Drina was a woman whose life was defined by devotion, quite strength, and unconditional love. She took great pride in the home she and her husband built together for their family, a place of comfort, safety, and enduring love. She also loved parrots, a passion shared with her husband, who proudly wore a parrot tattoo in her honor.

More than a mother, Drina was her daughters’ best friend. Their daily conversations, shared laughter, and the comfort she provided will be profoundly missed.

A brave and exceptionally strong soul, Drina faced life with resilience and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Though she was taken from us far too soon, we find comfort in knowing she is once again by Joeys' side. Her strength, courage, and love live on through her daughters and all who were blessed to know her.

Drina is survived by her two daughters Jolene Ramirez and Deanna Ramirez, and her sisters, Lorraine Jay and Erma Duran. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Drina will be laid to rest beside her husband Joey at Holy Hope Cemetery on January 16, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
