Delia M. Gomez “Maye”

We are saddened to announce the passing of a truly beautiful soul, Delia M. Gomez, who departed this life at the age of 85 on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She graced the world with her warm spirit, compassionate smile, and unwavering kindness. Those who knew her were blessed by her warm heartedness, her quiet strength, her innate sense of humor and the love she freely shared with family and friends. Delia served a life of service to St. Augustine Cathedral for over 20 years as a Eucharistic Minister, a CCD Teacher and a proud member of the Guadalupana’s.

Throughout her long and meaningful life, she found joy in laughing with loved ones, nurturing those around her, and bringing light wherever she went. Her grace, wisdom, and generosity will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Delia M. Gomez passed away after her husband, Frank E. Gomez, and is survived by their 4 children: Lupe, Veronica, Frank (Wendy) and Jose; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to inspire and comfort her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love lives forever.

Services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, with a Rosary at 9:30 am and Mass at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Cathedral with interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Please join family and friends in a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post #68 (4724 South 12th Ave 85714) from 2pm - 6pm on March 19th, 2026.
