Delia H Brennis

Delia Hernandez Moreno Brennis, 86, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at her home in Tucson, Arizona, with her devoted husband, Richard Brennis, by her side.Born on May 9, 1939, in Tucson to Jose (Joe) and Sara Moreno, Delia was one of 12 children and grew up in the Tanque Verde Valley. She later moved to Seattle, where she built a life with Richard and raised their three children, Sara, Terll, and Michael. Delia dedicated her career to public service as a manager with the Washington Department of Health and Human Services. After retiring, Delia and Richard returned to Tucson, where she found joy in thrift shopping, collecting antiques, and spending time with loved ones. She especially cherished her grandchildren and her beloved dogs. Delia is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her children, Sara Stone and Michael Stone; her siblings; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Terll Stone and daughter in-law Debra Stone.

A Catholic service honoring Delia’s life will be held at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church at 300 N. Tanque Verde Loop Rd.Tucson, AZ. 85748 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.
