David E. Molina, 69, of Tucson, AZ, passed away on May 4th, 2026, leaving behind his children David A. Molina and Emily Rodriguez, and grandchildren Emilio, Esteban, Zelda, Zander, and Zeta.

Born in Tucson to Jose Jesus Molina and Ramona Espinoza Molina, David grew up with his brothers Joe, George, Danny, and Manny, and his sister Grace. He loved telling stories about growing up with his siblings on the land his father bought. He shared many fond memories about the animals they raised on the land, and some harsh lessons as well. He attended Wakefield Middle School and later graduated from Cholla High School. Cholla High School always remained close to his heart, as it was where he met the woman who would become the mother of his children, Christina.

During high school, David applied for a job at Karichimaka, where his boss taught him what a social security card was and how to apply for one. David began working for Karichimaka and was grateful for the opportunity, as his boss allowed him to attend barber school and study for the exam during work hours. He often recalled the generosity of this gesture, as it led to his next chapter in life.

David dedicated most of his life to working as a barber, a profession he truly loved. He worked for Long Hair Inc. and soon after opened his own shop, Hair Excellence. To many, he was more than a barber — he was a familiar face and someone who could always make others feel welcome with his conversation, warm laugh, kindheartedness, and free-spirited nature.

Over the years, he built lasting relationships with his coworkers, who appreciated not only his ability to bring laughter and positivity, but also coverage when needed to help ease the stress of the day. David provided everyone who sat in his chair with a calming sense of care and respect.

Above all else, David was a proud father and devoted grandfather. Nothing brought him greater joy than watching his grandchildren play football, cheer, or participate in any extracurricular activity they loved. He was their biggest supporter and never missed a chance to show up, cheer loudly, blow his air horn, and celebrate their accomplishments. David never missed an opportunity to tell his children and grandchildren how proud he was of them, or how cherished they were; those words of encouragement will remain in their hearts forever.

David will be remembered for his carefree spirit, sense of humor, and the unconditional love he gave to his family and friends. His presence brought comfort, happiness, and strength to those around him, and his memory will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
