David M. Brown passed away on February 5, 2026. Dave operated a plumbing business in Frisco, Colorado before retiring in Oro Valley, Arizona. He is survived by his wife Phyllis (nee Hopkins), his children Susan (Ron) Kincade, James (Traci Frost) Brown, Penny (Eric) Johnson and Neal (Cacy Rudolph) Brown, his grandchildren Aimee (Anthony) Dietz, Joey Brown, Kierra (Beth Tekle) Krishan, Emili (Alex) Frye, David Riley (Maddie) Brown, Andrew Brown, William Brown, Coryn (Hunter) Stock, Island Morris, Henry Brown, Catherine Johnson, and his sister Lindsay Zobenica, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Dave was born in Geneva, Illinois on August 22, 1946, to Willis Brown and Emily (nee Wilcox) Brown. He attended Elgin High School and studied at the University of Denver. Phyllis and Dave celebrated 62 years of marriage on January 25, 2026, before his passing.

Dave lived an active life to include skateboarding, roller skating, community theater, country dancing, scuba diving, world travel, working in Antarctica, water volleyball, and hiking.

A Celebration of Life gathering will take place on Saturday, June 20th at 4:00 in the afternoon, at the residence of Jim and Traci Brown, in Rowlett, Texas. For those interested in attending, please reach out to Penny Johnson (pennykaybrown@hotmail.com).
