“The number one guy you’d want to be stranded win a desert island with”

“He was so fun and quite the rascal and partner in crime”

“He was quite the legend with a thunderous voice and a laugh to match”

“One of the timeless wonders.”

These are some of the words that friends and family have shared since Clint left this world in late February.

Clint was a loving and doting husband. He was the father that every little girl would want and every woman would be proud to have. And, most of all Clint was a friend.

Clint had a personal brand before having a personal brand was cool. You always knew what to expect and what you were expecting was everything that is good about life. Clint loved to tell you his story about the latest race track he visited, the last cruise he went on, the amazing thing he had to eat or the adult beverage he was looking forward to sipping.

But the thing is, he wanted to hear about you too. Whether you knew him for a lifetime or just met him a few times, Clint left an impression. You remembered Clint…and best of all, he remembered you too.

If you shared a drink with Clint, he would listen to your story and remember it. Where do you like to travel? What do you like to do? Do you have a favorite restaurant? What is good in your life? Tell me.

And when you had a moment in life that was tough or painful, Clint never shied away. He was the first to call or send flowers or a card. He was often the first to know just what to say. Family members who lost their beloved daughter told us that so many people didn’t know what to say…but Clint had the perfect words.

Best of all, Clint was funny. He delivered jokes with comic precision. Even if you spent a small amount of time with him, you’d have a big laugh.

Clint had a storied career in rental car, working for Avis and Budget. Upon retiring he had many great years at Stoneridge Chrysler in Pleasanton, California. Also - on a fun note - Clint was known to many Northern California radio listeners as NASCAR Dad because of the “NASCAR Reports” he did on his daughter’s morning show.

If you’d like to honor Clint in your own life…taste the great food, sip the awesome drink, travel to places you dream about, get in touch with that old friend. He would say “Do it while you can! Life is too short!” Do the things, savor life, embrace the ones you love.

Clint is survived by his wife, Michelle. His daughter Jocelyn and her husband Rob. And he is remembered by countless friends, family members, neighbors, former coworkers and buddies from race tracks. All of them can close their eyes and remember Clint…and when they do, they smile.
