My beloved brother, Brian, I will always miss you. Our weekend phone chats meant so much to me. First of all, to know that you were doing okay and then to revisit our childhood memories together. You once said, "I don't know what I would do without you," to which I replied, "And I don't know what I would do without you." Who else would know all that we had lived through but each other.
Our greatest memories were those lived in that little farmhouse in Ryan with holidays so filled with our cousins, aunts, uncles and, of course, our grandparents. I thought that we were rich! We had so much food to eat and such good times together. Little did I understand how hard our grandparents had worked to put all of that special holiday event together for us.
Thank you for all the laughter and tears that we shared over our childhood memories; you have left me with a precious gift.
I do know that your life was never the same after Kim's sudden death in 2014 and we always talked on August 26th in remembrance of her.
You and I shared the deep sorrow and pain of being separated from our children. It is a very great loss and we both had regrets which we shared with each other.
What a joy that Adriana was in your life and stayed in your life until the end just as she told you that she would do. She was truly a gift from God and a little angel in your life.
Enjoy Heaven! I'll see you before too long.
