In Loving Memory of Benjamin Encinas Meza

Benjamin “Benny” Encinas Meza, 71, passed away on May 26, 2026.

Born the youngest and only son, he grew up with two older sisters who cherished and protected him throughout his life.

In recent months, he had found peace and stability. He was in a good place and looking ahead with hope and renewed happiness, and his loved ones take comfort in knowing his final days were filled with that sense of peace.

He was the proud father of four children, three daughters and one son—and a loving grandfather to two granddaughters. He also leaves behind a grandson he never had the chance to meet, who will grow up hearing stories of the grandfather who loved his family deeply.

Everyone who knew him knew of his unwavering devotion to his teams. He was a diehard Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Lakers fan, cheering them on through every victory and defeat. His passion for sports was one of the many things that brought him joy.

He will be remembered for his strength, humor and his love for his children and grandchildren. His passing was sudden and has left a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him.

Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on through his children, grandchildren, sisters, family, and friends.

Benjamin is survived by his sisters, Ernestina Zamarripa (Charlie), and Carmen Meza Robles. His children, Marcie Meza Jimenez (Sergio), Naomi Meza (Kourtney), Benjamin Meza, Elisa Meza (Angel). His Grandchildren, Iriana Equihua (Jesse), Roxanna Jimenez, and baby Adrian Ku-Meza.

He was loved, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
