Armando Soto Espinoza was born on December 24th, 1941 and passed peacefully in his sleep at home on March 5th, 2026 at 84 years old.He spent much of his life in Tucson, Arizona where he met the love of his life Delia “Huera” Moreno. Eventually, he and his wife moved to California where they raised their three beautiful children together. His children, and all the Lecouvreur Street neighbors knew him for his whistle, and his suave nature. He was an active father and made time to get to know and have fun with his children.In addition to his family he also loved music. He loved everything from Elvis to Ramon Ayala. He played guitar, bass, drums and some piano. He had a career as a working musician in several bands including Los Peligrosos and Playa Azul. He was a fantastic, eclectic musician known for his ability to play any song by ear and his instrumental versatility.He and his wife were the owners of one of the first delivery video rental companies when they made their way back to Tucson in 1991.He had many roles in his life which he valued not the least of which was that of, Tata Mando. As a Tata he was known for being a jack of all trades, able to fix absolutely anything. He taught his son and grandsons how to troubleshoot any issue and have fun doing it. He set up a pool for all his grandchildren to play and taught several of them how to swim.He was an avid baseball fan and frequent skipbo player. He liked to spend his days listening to music, dancing with his wife and playing with his grandchildren. He loved going to the swampmeet, drinking root beer floats and tinkering things.All who knew him admired him and described him as a great man who treated everyone with dignity, respect, warmth and a great joke. He leaves behind him a legacy of practicing joy everywhere you go and a large collection of worlds greatest Tata’s tshirts.He is survived by his wife of 62 years Delia, children; Arturo, Connie, Armando (Julissa) and Son in Law Danny. His grandchildren, great grandchildren and siblings; Rosa, Lupe, Billie, Shiela, Manny, Chuy, Maria and Paul Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents Armando and Helen, his daughter Bonita, grandchild Anthony and great grandchild Ariana. Additionally he was preceded by his siblings Che Che, Eddie, Willy, David, Sandy, Linda, and Joe.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday March 26th at Avenida's Cremation & Burial 1376 West St. Mary’s Road Tucson AZ 85745 from 3pm to 5pm. Following the service there will be a celebration of life at the residence of Junior and Julissa.
