Angelita P Anaya

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Angelita “Angie” Pesqueira Anaya, of Tucson, Arizona, who passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 88. Angie was a faithful wife, beloved mother, cherished sister, caring Tia, and loving Nana.

Born on October 2, 1937, in Tucson, Arizona, she was the daughter of Louis and Margaret Pesqueira. She graduated from Tucson High. On November 23, 1961, she married the love of her life, Eugene “Gene” Anaya. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children. Angie enjoyed her career as an elementary school Teacher’s Assistant. Above all, Angie was devoted to her family. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she created a legacy of love, always ensuring her home was filled with games and crafts, the smell of home-cooked meals, amazing dessert and decorations for every holiday.

Angie leaves behind her devoted husband Gene; her children Jacqueline, Eugene, and David; her daughters-in-law Charity and Irma; her cherished grandchildren Beatriz, David, and Marisol; her great-grandchild Christian; and her brothers Alex, Hector, and Ernie.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Augustine Cathedral, located at 192 S Stone Ave, Tucson, AZ. Interment will follow at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Hope Catholic Cemetery, located at 3555 North Oracle Road, Tucson, AZ 85705. All who knew and loved Angie are welcome to attend and celebrate her wonderful life.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Northwest Hospital for their compassionate care.
